1. How do I test my system?

Hit 8 + Master code + 2. After a minute phone test should show as a Alarm Memory (blinking *) Disarm to clear out of system. If “phone line failure” appears, call our office to schedule a service call.

2. How do I Arm & Disarm my system?

To arm to Stay- hit 2 (Stay) + Code and listen for the countdown beeps

To arm to Away- hit 3 (Away) + Code, exit the premise while the countdown beeps are sounding (leaving after the time allotted for arming will result in an User Error and/or a false alarm)

To disarm- hit 1 (OFF) + code

3. How do I change the time & date on my keypad?

a. Press 9 and enter Master Code
b. You should see Time & Date, press the # key
c. You will see “Time”. Enter time in Military time format _ _ : _ _, hit # when done

d. Hit “B” to go to the Date (seen as DT). Enter Date mm/dd/yy, hit # when done

e. Press the * key to back out of Time & Date
f. Hit the B button until you see “Exit Programming Ready”
g. Press # key. This should take you to the main screen with today’s correct Time & Date

4. My system is “Protesting” During Arming -or- I want to Bypass a sensor when arming

-If you’re trying to arm your system and it Protests, hit # + Code to bypass that zone (call our office if this appears to be a sensor issue that needs a service call 612.874.9295 or 651.646.0131).
-If you want to Bypass a sensor, after arming to Stay/Away, hit # + code + sensor number (_ _)

5. What is the difference between “Stay” & “Away”?

Generally speaking, arming to “Stay” means the system is expecting you to stay inside the premise. Interior motions will not arm because there will be movement inside. If you open a Entry/Exit door during the Exit Delay, your system will default to “Away” and motions will be turned on.

Arming to “Away” means the system is expecting someone to leave after arming. All devices will be armed. If you open an Entry/Exit door to leave during the Exit Delay, an alarm will not sound. However, if you do not open an Entry/Exit door during the Exit Delay, the system will default to “Stay” and motion detectors will not be armed.

**Note: A door not specified as an Entry/Exit door will cause an alarm to sound if opened during or after the system is armed, this also includes window sensors**
