JOB TITLE: Security Installation Technician

LOCATION: St. Louis Park, MN

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

 

OVERVIEW
We are looking for an eager, friendly and efficient installation technician to join our growing team! The Security Installation Technician is responsible for the tasks associated with the design, installation, upgrade and repair service of home and small to mid-sized commercial security systems. Our Technicians will use communication, technical knowledge, problem solving and sales skills to deliver the highest level of customer service. The right candidate will receive hands-on training from our skilled technicians.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

-Perform system installation, upgrades, takeovers and wiring on, but not limited to: Camera, Access, Intercom and Intrusion
-Perform system replacements, repairs and disconnects
-Perform signal verification, system testing and troubleshooting
-Assist customer with downloads and device configurations as needed
-Educate and train customer on system operation and functionality
-Complete installation checklists and capture customer signatures as required
-Manage individual truck stock inventory, materials, tools and company equipment
-Return defective and excess equipment to warehouse inventory
-Self-monitor performance through scorecard reports
-Acknowledge, implement, and enforce companies policies and procedures.
-Positively represent Lloyd Security, Inc. to customers with consistent professionalism, adhering to dress code
-Submit accurate and timely documentation to your immediate supervisor.
-Ability to work required on-call duty to handle after hour service issues.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

-Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
-Ability to be physically fit and climb, stoop, and lift up to 40 lbs
-High School Diploma or equivalent.
-Hold a valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to remain focused and effectively multi-task within a fast-paced & dynamic environment
-Ability to troubleshoot and conduct diagnostics to successfully problem solve under pressure
-Motivated team player with positive attitude and desire to learn and deliver high-quality work
-Strong customer service skills and genuine desire to interact with customers; professional appearance
-PLT License and/or Technical school training is a preferred.
-Must pass background check and drug test

Competitive Hourly Wage (BOE) + Upsell Commission opportunities.
